A. Valerie Acosta
A. Valerie Acosta has been passionately involved in real estate law for over twenty-five years. As an attorney, Valerie concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, civil litigation, and estate planning, with extensive experience in assisting clients interested in purchasing or selling residential and commercial properties.
Since starting her own firm, Valerie has played an integral role in guiding numerous families through the stressful home buying or home selling process. She has also guided corporate clients from corporate set-up through corporate maintenance. Valerie has also negotiated and closed short sale transactions for her clients while assisting her clients during a difficult financial time.
In addition to experienced representation of clients, Valerie maintains positive relationships with various title companies, real estate brokers, and lenders. Overall, her years of experience in multiple fields of civil matters and real estate transactions have given her the ability and knowledge to deal with a large variety of circumstances to meet the needs of her clients.
In the civil litigation area, Valerie’s efforts are in representing landlords when faced with the difficulty of having to evict tenants. It is a stressful and lengthy process where it is necessary to have someone who knows the system on your side.
In the estate planning area, Valerie assists her clients by preparing wills, power of attorney for health care and property, and the setup and maintenance of land trusts to protect real property.
Valerie obtained her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, Bachelor’s in Commerce from DePaul University, and is a proud alum of St. Ignatius College Prep. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, and has been involved with community events structured to assist individuals with legal matters related to real estate.
